Dr. Susan M. Katz is Associate Professor of English at North Carolina State University where she has taught courses in business, technical, and professional communication. Since 2005, she has also served as Internship Coordinator, and in that capacity she has developed a Professional Internships course which helps students prepare for the job search process, identify their strengths, and consider a variety of potential career paths. In addition to teaching the Professional Internships course, she has created a course for graduate students in English, creative writing, and technical communication which helps them expand their awareness of the role of writing and writers in the workplace.
When not teaching or writing, Dr. Katz enjoys spending time gardening, quilting, and reading fiction.
Throughout the year, Dr. Katz gives talks to student organizations about how to get started on their careers. Click here to see one of these presentations (recorded in April 2014). If you would like Dr. Katz to talk with your group, just write to her to check on available dates.
